Supermodel Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Foster, has confirmed that her daughter is pregnant with her first child with One Direction star Zayn Malik.
TMZ broke the news that she was expecting a baby on Tuesday and Yolanda has now spoken out about her excitement that she is going to be a grandmother.
Speaking to RTL Boulevard, a chat show in her native country of Holland, Yolanda said: "Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press. Of course we are so excited.”
“I’m excited to become a oma [grandmother] in September especially after I lost my mom so recently.
"But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
Last August Yolanda’s mother, and Gigi’s grandmother, Ans van den Herik sadly passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 78 years old.
