Not to long ago I gave my reaction to some of the DLC ideas that IGN revealed as they discussed Skyrim with Bethesda at the DICE Awards. Apparently, Bethesda has some pretty lofty ideas if they are seriously considering opening up areas of the previous two games with this particular revision.
But lets be honest about this. Opening up 'areas in those realms' does not mean they are remaking the previous two games with the Skyrim engine. It just means that they may write in some new storylines that require you to journey over to 'parts' of Morrowind and Cyrodil.
Honestly, I think they could make a KILLING if they released a pirate storyline or aspect where you could build ships, hire a crew, attack trade vessels, etc etc. These trade routes could go to the Shivering Isle or some where off the coast of Morrowind or something.
I'm certain they can think of quite a few storylines to delve into that are new and fresh yet occur in areas we fondly remember from the previous two games.
Then that leaves you to believe that just maybe Bethesda wouldn't mind doing a remake of maybe Morrowind in the Skyrim engine. Or...even better...redo Daggerdale. That effort is in desperate need of a remake.
What say you fellow knee-arrowers?
